Lodi, NJ. The Jilson Corporation and Jilson Casters, Inc. have merged. The new company is known as The Jilson Group, Incorporated, according to an announcement by president, Lloyd Astmann.

“In order to reflect our expanding and varied product line, the new company will be organized as three separate divisions – Caster Products, Bearing Products, and Packaging Products.”

Jilson Caster Products Division…

Founded in 1974 as a supplier of unique, high-end casters that were difficult to find, today’s Jilson offers casters of all types – possibly the largest assortment of casters and wheels in one place.

“While our specialty will always include hard-to-find items,” Astmann said, “we will continue to supply, design or custom fabricate any high quality casters and related products that our customers require.”

“We’ve had more than a quarter century of experience putting the world on wheels.” Astmann said, “We expect these new product lines to give us even more opportunity to keep our customers rolling smoothly. After all, we go to extremes to make things move.”

Jilson Bearing Products Division…

Jilson’s plastic bearings and bearing housings…go where metal can’t. Jilson’s non-corrosive, radial ball bearings and bearing housings are lightweight, self-lubricating and non-magnetic, making them ideal for use in a wide variety of industries including food processing, bottling and canning, the medical and pharmaceutical markets, the marine industry…and photographic and chemical processing to name but a few.

Jilson maintains a huge inventory of bearings and housings to support its customers’ production needs. “We serve customers both large and small from our enormous stock,” Astmann said. “And, with our engineering support group, we have designed and produced custom integrated bearings and bearing components, saving time and money for many customers.

Jilson Packaging Products Division …

Offering reusable plastic packaging ties which are easy to use…even with gloves on. These durable, all plastic ties are easy to close, can be quickly released and have remarkable holding power – with the strength and versatility to accommodate some of the most peculiar packaging requirements of virtually every industry. The reusable and adjustable feature of these ties allow its customers to repeatedly open and close their bags without damage to the bag or tie, saving the price of repackaging products. These ties are ideal for products which get metered out of a master pack.
